We Are Here to Help You
Indigenous Victim Services assists and advocates for indigenous victims who are either living in Brantford, Hamilton or the Six Nations community. It is parallel to mainstream victim services, however, throughout our Indigenous services is a cultural and historical understanding of Indigenous people, communities, and nations.
Support & Advocacy
We offer on-scene support at Six Nations Monday to Friday from 8:30AM until 4:30PM. In addition, we offer court support, short-term trauma counselling, linkage, and referral programs. We also assist with damages to property caused by violence and theft.
We will accompany the victim to the police station or hospital, and anything that can help put the victim at ease. Furthermore, we offer safety planning programs to victims of abuse to help them escape a dangerous situation when they are ready to seek help.
